Coach Ramirez played with Yahara SC from U11-U19 and for Madison Memorial freshman year with SPSC President Dave Melum. He then played on the Middleton varsity team his sophomore and junior years and Majors from age 17-22 for Madison United and still a member of United's adult teams.

Sam coached boys and girls for MYSC, Verona and Middleton, at various age groups ranging from U11-U14. He also led the Edgewood High School girls freshman team as well as coached and managed Madison United's men's teams for 20 years. He was also assistant coach for Madison College for one season and head coach the following year. During that time Sam was a Coerver Coach and Director for Wisconsin. Most recently he was Director of Coaching for Magic SC and has a US Soccer National D License in addition to a Coerver coaching youth diploma.

What does it mean to be a coach? “Being a coach means dedication, determination, understanding, developing players and a passion for fútbol!”
