Dear Sun Prairie Soccer Families,

A few quick updates and reminders as we head into the weekend.

First, a handful of our teams will start playing games this weekend at venues outside of Dane County.  WYSA has created new rules for players, coaches, referees and spectators.

The new rules can be found here: https://www.wiyouthsoccer.com/assets/75/6/return_to_play_checklist__requirements.pdf

Of particular importance, please be aware:

1) Only TWO (2) spectators per player

2) Our Coaches/Managers will be taking attendance

3) All spectators MUST wear a mask and follow social distancing-- 6' from non-family members and the sideline/referees

4) Spectators will sit on the same side of the field as their players. They must sit on the opposite half of the field.

5) All players not on the field MUST wear a mask

6) Coaches MUST wear a mask

Please read the new rules and follow them. Regardless of how other teams and parents behave, I hope SPSC families will set the standard.

We need to remember that our "home" games are at fields owned/operated by friends from other Clubs and other communities. Please treat these fields and facilities as we would our own. Please also help show our appreciation for the Columbus community by visiting some of their local businesses!

Also, please know that everyone is in the same boat with the craziness of this fall. Referees haven't worked a game in almost a year.  Kids haven't played a full-contact game in almost a year. Game quality may not be what we are used to, but please support the kids, support the refs and enjoy the fact we can play.

If you have any questions, please contact myself, our Executive Director or your Coach.

With the COVID pandemic impacting the bottom lines of every business, the Board and Staff have worked to find ways to be fiscally conservative and efficient with your dues and fees.

One way to be more efficient is in our billing system. To date, SPSC has used Demosphere to collect fees. Demosphere charges usage fee on each transaction.  This fee has taken thousands of dollars from SPSC that could be used by the Club.

Starting this weekend, SPSC will be transitioning from Demosphere to an in-house billing system for all future payments. This change will mean more of your fees stay at SPSC. The automatic payments will stop immediately and you will be invoiced directly by the Club instead. We are in the process of updating our payment policy and will have more information for you shortly.

As with everything else, we all appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this change.

Finally, I want to stress to everyone in the Club, we appreciate your support and we support everyone's right to decide on whether to play, train or skip the Fall season. PLEASE, honor the right of every parent and player to make their own decision.  There are no one-size fits all answers and what may work for one family may not work for another.

As always, thank you for all you do for SPSC!

Stay safe, informed and healthy!
