Why Pick In-House?
Available for kindergartners thru 4th graders.
Teams play other Sun Prairie teams.
Games are played on weekday nights (with the exception of Kinderball - Saturday mornings), with a practice another night of the week.
Best
for players new to the game of soccer and those who need to continue to work
on skill development.
Focus is on kids having fun while playing soccer, getting experience in the sport, and enjoying a social activity with friends.
There's no first or last place. Scores are not kept, leagues standings are not maintained.
Leagues are split-season, meaning you can register for the fall and/or spring season separately (perfect for two-sport kids).
New teams are formed each fall and spring.
Teams formed based on grade in school. |
Why Pick Traveling?
Available for 3rd graders and older.
Half of games are played in Sun Prairie and half within the greater Madison
area, travel varies by age.
Majority of games played on Saturday and Sundays.
Two levels of competition: Recreational and Classic. Recreational is more competitive than in-house. Classic is more competitive than Recreational.
Players (especially on classic teams) should expect a
greater commitment in terms of attendance, practice, tournaments, etc. than in-house players.
Season runs fall to spring. Team form in the fall,
break during the winter, and continue their season in the spring. No "split-season"
Teams are
formed based on a player's age. Coed and
girls-only teams are available. |
