Coaching Information
We strive to provide adequate resources for our coaches. Specific resources are available for the two distinct divisions of the club:
- Traveling coaches (Recreational and Competitive)
- In-house coaches (Kinderball, Groundhog, and Challenger)
Interested in being a Travel Coach?
Individuals interested in coaching a SPSC Competitive or Recreational Travel team must submit an Interest in Coaching Form.
Coach Pass Card
The SPSC has a mandatory coach pass policy. All coaches, head and assistant, must hold a state issued coach pass card to be present on the sidelines during any competition. Only one coach pass will be issued per person, regardless of their club involvement (coach, assistant coach, manager, club volunteer, etc). Coach passes provide individual membership to WI Youth Soccer Association and serve as our Risk Management process (i.e. background checks are done). Approved passes are valid for a period of 2 years. Coaches are reminded to fulfill this requirement prior to the start of the fall season. Coach Licenses
Coaches are also required to obtain the certification needed to be in compliance for your coaching obligations. Learn more about becoming licensed and upcoming clinics (exit to MAYSA website). SPSC will reimburse coaches the certification fee once they receive the certification.
