Parent Advisory/Team Manager Group

The following is a short definition of some of the committees the SPSC Board of Directors feels necessary to develop the Club and guarantee a long and prosperous soccer community. The definitions were left short and unspecific to allow for creativity and remove unnecessary constraints.

The Board thinks that the committees should be able to organize itself internally and present the Board with their own operational procedures, according to need.

The Board will strive, however, to maintain operational coherence between Committees and its interaction with the club.

The ultimate goal of the SPSC Parent Advisory Group/Team Manager Meeting and the Committees therein formed is to enlarge the pool of talent and participation in the activities of the Club.

Contact Tony Veroeven at ParentRep@sunprairiesoccer.com for more information on any of these committees.

1. Field Maintenance Committee and Liaison to Parks Dept.

  • identify and forecast needs for new fields
  • maintain fields to insure the safety of players and participants in the game, and the development of the game
  • develop relationships with the different organizations (Schools and parks) to secure the necessary improvements
  • inform the board of issues and recommend policies, practices and resolutions
  • implement committee recommendations and board resolutions in a timely manner

The committee is also expected to define its internal composition and operation.

Currently, the Committee is being led by the Field Coordinator, Kimberly Trent, and BOD member, Tom Gehrmann.

The Board is very open to suggestions about the best way to coordinate these activities or create new activities in the near future or long term.
