Spread the word that Wednesday 10/21 is SPSC night at Day One Pizza in Sun Prairie. 20% of your carry-out or dine-in purchase between 10am and 8pm goes to support SPSC IF YOU MENTION SPSC! If we generate 20 orders Day One will add a bonus!
Plan on a pizza lunch at work or pizza dinner with the family at Day One Wednesday night, 10/21, and don't forget to mention SPSC!
Thank you Day One Pizza for your support!
For our U6-U12 players there is a fun and useful $15 soccer clinic (see attachments below for details) this MONDAY 9/14 put on by the Sun Prairie High School boys Varsity and Junior Varsity. This type of activities are great inspiration for younger players to see what “big time” High School soccer looks and feels like -- FUN.)
After the Monday clinic, bring your whole family out to Burrachos – 50% of proceeds go to the SPHS Boys Soccer program.
This year, support for the SPHS Boys Soccer program has allowed Chris Mitchell and the Eric Nee to add an extra team, an additional 18 freshman boys who get to play soccer. Your continued support allows this to happen.
Last fall (2014) our new Director of Coaching (U4-U12), Charles Lindsey, organized a 3-session Goalkeeper Academy that spanned a good portion of the fall 2014 season. The outstanding success of this Academy has refueled the demand for more keeper-specific training in our Club.
This year, SPSC's Director of Coaching (U13+), Mike McIntosh, has organized a two-day Goalkeeper Coaching Clinic in July through the National Soccer Coaching Association of America (NSCAA). At least 5 coaches from SPSC are scheduled to attend this 2-day clinic on training keepers. The Club's intent is to have a number of SPSC coaches trained so that we can continue to expand our goalkeeper offerings on a regular basis. Families can expect Goalkeeper Academies to be a regular offering in both the fall and spring seasons. The Club will also explore the demand for and feasibility of providing a summer Goalkeeper Academy perhaps as soon as summer of 2016.
