The 2018-2019 soccer season is fast approaching and we are excited to present some important changes. Please join us for a Sun Prairie Soccer Club (SPSC) all member meeting:
- Thursday, May 17th
- 7:30 pm
- Patrick Marsh Middle School Cafeteria/Stage
- 1351 Columbus St, Sun Prairie, WI
The meeting agenda will include the Mission and Vision Statement Survey results, organizational restructure, financial summary, fees, player evaluations and development structure for 2018-2019.
Most notably we are changing the organizational structure of the club to better support the membership. SPSC has simply gotten too big to operate under its original founding of a volunteer-based structure. To help improve the day to day operations of the club, the SPSC Board of Directors has elected to create a Program Administrator position overseeing all administrative responsibilities of SPSC and a Field Maintenance Supervisor Position to help manage our growing soccer facilities. We are also changing the role of the Director of Coaching, to remove some of the administrative responsibilities and allow the Director to focus on soccer. All three roles will report directly to the Board. The three roles will guide and steer the daily operations of the club, and provide for quick decisions and communications affecting the membership.
With this organizational structure change, Andy Paroubek and SPSC have separated and he will no longer serve as a Director of Coaching. Moving forward, our relationship with Chad Wissler (of the successful Aspire program) will continue on an expanded capacity.
The Director of Coaching role is critical to the success of SPSC. The individual that serves in this capacity must not only have a dynamic experience as a coach, understand our commitment and need for volunteers and be able to connect and inspire both boys and girls to love and play soccer. Our commitment to finding the perfect candidate to serve our members is paramount and we want to ensure that this individual has the right qualifications and understanding of our culture.
Our future is bright and we have much to be proud of as a club. As we implement changes in the coming months, we know that ultimately our membership will see our commitment to our mission and that our vision is clear. We look forward to seeing you on May 17.
